2004 Vosne-Romanée Au Cros-Parantoux 1er Cru Domaine Méo-Camuzet Bu...
Tasted twice over the past few years with consistent results.
A beautifully elegant nose of pure and sweet aromas which are nuanced, airy, detailed and incredibly seductive while possessing the classic coolness and reserve complement middle-weight flavours that are supple, silky and minerally, yet there is ample muscle lurking beneath the sophisticated exterior. This is still young with outstanding length and finishing intensity, and while there is a noticeable touch of crushed leaf, it actually adds depth rather than coming across as vegetal. This may very well be Méo's best wine in 2004 and displays no hints of greenness. Note that this could easily be enjoyed now, though, for my taste, I would first hold it for another 1 to 3 years.
